FAQ
Electric vehicle chargers should be clearly visible, in a safe, lighted area, and installed as closely as possible to the electrical room or power source to reduce installation costs.
Our teams work with the site host to establish a site map which annotates the information we gather during the site visit.
Incentives are the key driver of electric vehicle charging equipment.
We recommend your local power provider’s website and the alternative fuels data center for more information; https://afdc.energy.gov/laws/12732
Yes, Electrify EVSE has experience installing various manufacturers’ equipment.
Please simply share with us what brand and model number you have purchased when you call for installation.
For home installations, our goal 3 to 4 business days.
Workplace charging will require more time for permitting and site design. The process can take 2 to 4 weeks. Workplace charging requires an initial site visit.
We will need access to the electrical panel of the facility, built diagrams (if available), the number of charging ports required, and the manufacturer of the charging equipment.
Great question! The term “fast charging” is used to identify the fastest type of charging available in the marketplace.
Otherwise known as Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC). Power levels required for this application far exceed the available power for a residential application. Direct Current Fast Charging classification begins at 20 kw's which will provide an electric vehicle a mile a minute of range.
Level 2 charging requires the installation of a new breaker designated to support the power output required to operate the charging station.
Level 2 charging can be hardwired into the panel or a Nema plug may be required in the area where the Electric Vehicle will be charging (ie, carport, garage, etc.).
Finally, DCFC Level 3 charging requires a considerable amount of energy, which is typically not available at a traditional single-family dwelling.
Numerous factors are taken into consideration when determining how many chargers and which level of charging is required to support electrification of your fleet.
Each electric vehicle comes with its own charging protocol. So, understanding the charging protocols of the vehicles is paramount to the type of charger the site host should install.
The estimated number of miles traveled per day is another factor to consider when determining your charging needs.
Lastly, what is the daily charging cycle?
How many hours per day would the vehicle need to fully charge by the next business day?

No, charging software is not a standard option on EV charging equipment.

We offer alternative charging solutions for off-grid charging by utilizing alternative fuels.
There is an aggressive push for the advancement of electric vehicles.
Electrify EVSE is “Powering the Evolution” to keep innovation charging forward.
The fuel efficiency of an EV may be measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh) per 100 miles. To calculate the cost per mile of an EV, the cost of electricity (in dollars per kWh) and the efficiency of the vehicle (how much electricity is used to travel 100 miles) must be known. If electricity costs $0.13 per kWh and the vehicle consumes 33 kWh to travel 100 miles, the cost per mile is about $0.04.
If electricity costs $0.13 per kilowatt-hour, charging an EV with a 200-mile range (assuming a fully depleted 66 kWh battery) will cost about $9 to reach a full charge. To compare the fueling costs of individual models of conventional and plug-in vehicles, see the Vehicle Cost Calculator.
For PEV charging, the stability and planning benefits of household electricity rates offer an attractive alternative compared to traditional types of transportation.
